For students sharing one piece of coursework: who's doing which section, and what's been checked.
Try it: drag a note or press → on it. This one isn't saved anywhere.
Break the assignment into sections, one note each, and put a name on every one on day one. That single step removes most of the arguments group projects are known for. The Checked column means someone else has read it — move a note there only after a second person has.
Give the whole board a deadline two days before the real one. Kanplot flags notes urgent the day before their date, so you get a warning while there's still time to do something about it.
Everyone joins with the team code; there's no need to collect email addresses. If one person is the de facto organiser, make them an admin and turn the lock on so sections can't be quietly removed.
Open Kanplot, make a project, click Create custom and name the columns as above: Not started → Writing → Checked. Pick the same colours if you like. Then add your own notes and share the team code.
Two minutes to set up, and everyone on the team sees the same board from then on.
